^ Because it's a time wasting activity. When you're wasting time you don't want to think of complicated things. Wasting time is when you rest your brain.
As far as this topic, it's just a saying. Why do people say "it's raining cats and dogs"? It's something that you can't measure, so it doesn't matter. What's common sense to one person isn't common sense to the other person. |
