People hate emo kids so much?
I can't understand that, why is it bad to be emo? |

Emo is a kind of music. Is it possible for people to be a kind of music? No. So they're using the word wrong in the first place.
I feel like "emo" kids can't get over themselves. They go on about how they cut themselves and how depressed they are when in fact, they probably don't cut themselves and don't need clinical help. In turn, they give a bad name to people who actually are clinically depressed. It's just annoying. |

It's very much middle class teens with comfortable lives making a big song and dance about their non-existant angst. BUT emo has progressed from a genre of (awful) music to an entire scene and culture of stripes, black hair dye and teeny weeny jeans. Bah. |
