"Saturday, November 17th is the ninth annual National Survivors of Suicide Day, sponsored by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

This day is meant to reach out to the tens of thousands of poeple who have lost a loved on to suicide.

Suicide awareness and prevention is a cause very close to my heart.
I have lost someone very close to me to suicide.

This weekend, I invite you to write LOVE (left wrist) and HOPE(right wrist) on your wrists. When people ask why, please tell them about Survivors of Suicide Day.

Let's all help prevent this world from losing more people we love, and show support and solidarity with those who have already lost loved ones to suicide."

[I don't plan to wash off "love" and "hope" until the end of the week.]

I'm going to do next time. This time, you kind of told us at the last minute. I lost a family member by suicide. Everyone just wanted to punch him in the face for that.

just do it this week! it can't harm anyone...just tell your friends about it, ask them to do it with you. i got tons of people to go along with me. why not drag it out all week? i mean-especially in schools, so it circulates, and more people know about it. why just one saturday?
