Emo is a kind of music. Is it possible for people to be a kind of music? No. So they're using the word wrong in the first place.
I feel like "emo" kids can't get over themselves. They go on about how they cut themselves and how depressed they are when in fact, they probably don't cut themselves and don't need clinical help. In turn, they give a bad name to people who actually are clinically depressed. It's just annoying. |

it's a kind of music, not just what some people decide to call themselves & play dress up to prove. i happen to enjoy emo music a lot, not so much the so called fashion statements & persona going along with it, or at least not the overly exaggerated types. i do like myself some skinny jeans, volcom & eyeliner, but i keep it low key.. & i don't brag & lie about cutting myself so i better suit the image. i also don't dress like that all the time on purpose so that people don't call me emo.
