I agree on the last two statements. But let's think of a situation.
Let's say a white guy and an asian guy come in to an interview. They both want the same position, they both have the same credentials, exact same credit scoring, same intelligence. Same almost everyone. Now they're going for a job that involves a lot of math. There's only one position available. Stereotypically, Asians are good at math. So who gets the job? As f**ked up as it sounds, many people can use their stereoypes as advantages. Or even in another case of a White man, and a black man, joining a basketball team. Same skills. Same height. Which one gets it? Or a case of a Desi, and a Hispanic person joining a baseball team. |
