Lunchtime with friends. We're chatting away. We're very much excited that Christmas is on its way. (Our mall is already in the Christmas spirit.)

All of a sudden, my friend tells me, "You never got ME a Christmas present last year."
So, I said, "I didn't get anyone anything."
(Except one person... but that's it!)
And she was like, "Oh yeah?"
And I was like, "So... it was ONE person."
And she was like, "So?"

And... urgh. It pisses me off that she had the nerve to say that. Why does she think she deserves that present anyway?

(And for the record, she didn't get me anything either... but you don't see me complaining.)

Sorry, I just wanted to vent. Anyone have any suggestions or should I just let that go?

who's the "ONE" person? and what was it

This one person happened to be a friend that agreed to exchange gifts with me. And we both agreed that since we both liked chocolate, we'd give each other chocolate... I mean, it wasn't that big of a deal.

What was the reaction from the other folks?

Nothing. They didn't really anything. The attention was all on me and her arguing about it. (Maybe arguing isn't the right word...)

Now that I think about it, it's kind of a petty thing to get worked up over. But still. I got annoyed.
