So...I need a girl's or a boy's advice. So I like this girl but then whenever I talk to her either it be phone, aim, real life there would always be awkward silences through the conversation.I try to end it by saying how was your day or what are you doing. But those 2 are basically all I have to end silences.Anyone have any ideas how to end these silences?Like any topics I could bring up to talk about etc. I'd appreciate the help

Okay, to develop a real connection you must lead the conversation through Wide and Deep levels. Wide meaning you cover a wide range of topics. While Deep means you go deeply into each topic, beyond the superficial, and talk on a genuine emotional level. Think about it, thats how a lot of your best friendships have formed...anyways, Topics the girl like a lot: human nature, relationships, music, hobbies, travel, childhood, PETS, nightlife. AVOID boring logical topics like school, politics ect...sometimes talking about it will turn her off.
To make this easy, like S-Majere said start with a big open question. ask couple sub questions to find out more details. Then, share a story. Its important to share a story early cuz otherwise youll just end up in interview mode which totally sucks. You cant wait for her to open up with a story, so you do it first. Also, make sure you say some personal things about yourself so you give her permission to reveal something about herself as well. She'll open up as much you allow her...which is generally as much you open up. After you go deeper into the topic for a bit, do not let the topic run dry. Instead change the topic saying "anyway". So many times when i talk to someone, they change conversation before im even able to recognize the convo has changed and i get lost. Again. solid conversation is about something that really connects with her... ya know? heres some good questions i like that If you could wake up anywhere on the planet tomorrow morning, where would it be? What did you dream of becoming when you were younger, and why? Think back to the best Christmas morning you ever had.......what was it like? Craziest/spontaneous thing you've ever done ("sexually"? she might ask and say "if that's what you consider to be the craziest thing you've ever done"). Sunrise or sunset? What would your last meal be, Your allowed 3 courses... If you could live at any time in history, like in books... or even fairy tales... who would you want to be, which character is your most exciting? |
