Gawshdarnit, I'm sick of people hating on the black's.
That being said, I'm not sure if it's nicer (in their opinion) to be "black" or "African American"-input on this would be nice. Before I move on, I'm going to say, and probably repeat many times: This thread is not for debate. Read down a little for the link to the official White for Black debate. Rules and Things: --- You do not have to be "white" to join! --- Any member found debating here will be removed the second time-first is obviously a warning. --- Racism will not be tolerated-I think that's kinda obvious. If there is a teenytiny little trace of racism anywhere from a member, they will be removed. --- This thread is meant to discuss racism. Hence the word discuss. Share stories, experiences, opinions...whatever you feel like. That being said, once again-no debating. If you accidently get carried away, don't worry, I'll just simply ask to not do it again. --- No member bashing! DUH! I don't care what race he/she is. Click here for the official White for Black Debate. Members: 1. Becka (RockitStudios)-Founder 2. Naomi (1angel3) 3. omgomgKATHY 4. SinfullySweet Pictures: Photoshopping at this very moment. Go ahead and post pictures and/or links to anti-racist sights. Feel free to suggest things to improve. ![]() To join, just post your username and/or real name if wanted. I have a question. I'm not trying to be an ass or anything. I just really want to know. I know the N word is really bad, but theres some black people who have used a different N word which is Negro. They say even that one is offensive, so how come it still gets used?
My dad worked with a black man. He randomly came up to my dad (This caught my dad off guard because he never mentioned anything like this to him.) once and told him that he was a black man and not an N word. Then he said the difference between a black man and an N word was that a black man works his ass off and the other doesn't do a damn thing. My dad always had respect for that guy. He used to talk about working with him a lot and how he was fun to work with. Is that really what some of you think of other African Americans? So I guess there was 2 questions. Sorry. |

You can say its still used becaue some people don't feel that either N word is offensive. So of course they use them. As you can see both words have sort of "evolved" into everyones vocabulary. For example if you go to myspace or something and search around you can see the N word (both) all over the place. Just because people don't find it offensive. Not to mention you can say (sadly) that its become more like a trend. Which isn't a good thing in my opinion but there is nothing I can do about it. Everyone has their own opinion. Personally I find the N word offensive but I don't have a problem with people saying it because well its all over the place now. But I understand where that guy is coming from. To some its a negative word. Especially considering back to the slavery issue it wasn't used in good terms. So its understandable for people to feel that way. A club supporting blacks? Seriously I think you should explain it more. But why not join I guess. Toya (freeflow). |
