If you're serious about art, do not go to an art institute, and do not apply to an art school that does not even look at your artwork or review your portfolio.
I am planning on attending RISD or Parsons. A few of my friends went to Savannah (however it's spelled) and they looove it. I'm not sure if they require a portfolio, though. |

Two of my teachers are alumni from SCAD. If I recall correctly, I believe you do have to show a portfolio there as well. But yeah, I've heard very good things about to the school too. |
