My first retouch., Of Rachel Bilson Options

After looking at everyone elses great attempts at retouching a photo I thought I'd give it a shot. I mean, it didn't look that hard. Actually I didn't find it too hard considering I couldn't find any good tutorials and had to kind of teach myself

Lol actually now that I look at it, they sort of do look like they're trying to escape

Well, firstly I smudged/clone stamped imperfections off her skin. Then blurred it a bit, but now that I look at it, I think a bit too much.. anyway, then I added some color to her lips with airbrush and dodge/burn. Whitened teeth with low opacity airbrush and dodge. I got rid of the shadows under her eyes, then added a low opacity layer to fill in the new color of the shirt.
Oh and with GIMP, btw.

That skin looks just a little blurry. But looking at the whole thing, it's good for a first. Try something with the hair.

I actually did try make the hair a lighter shade, but it didn't really suit so I took it away
