Pathological liars, confrontation?

I'm sure everyone has crossed paths with a pathological liar.
Have you ever had feelings for someone you find out is one?
Or maybe not fallen for them but ever confronted one?

I have and wow, it is confusing. I think they are this great person but then again it was probably all LIES, lol. This one guy lied about the strangest things. He must have been trying to impress me. He lied saying he personally knew one of my favorite bands and his grandfather had John Wilkes Booth's gun. Yeah...
The strangest and most detailed lie was that he "saved"/"protected" this girl and her mom from an abusive boyfriend. He grabbed a baseball bat and the mom's boyfriend took a knife out. The guy ran and "saved" the females by putting them in his car. I wasn't impressed more along the lines of that he was incredibly dumb. But then I felt like the dumbest person in the world for believing even one of his lies!

It was too weird so I contacted the girl and she said, "HAHAHA NO! THAT NEVER HAPPENED! he got in a fight with some guy because he was being called a f*g. he got beat up so bad. a cut on his hand and two black eyes." I was baffled since he said he was in some weird karate thing lol and tried to come off so tough when he was the same height as me (5'8''). Oh and plus 100 other lies.
I have this other friend, not really a friend but she im's me randomly to talk every other month or so. She has told people she almost died about 100 times if she would keep track of her lies. This girl has had cancer on basically every part of the body and swears she would never drink again because she has gotten poisoned countless times. Then posts tons of bulletins saying something else lol.

I don't know how pathological liars can live with themselves. I can't say one lie to someone's face without feeling guilty.
I confronted the guy I was talking about. He talked me months after I was done with him and he said, "Do you miss me?" I laughed and said, "To be honest, I don't. You are a pathological liar." He was in denial! I haven't confronted the other person because it is hilarious and helps with boredom at that time but I will one day.

Yeah, I've known one girl who's like that. After I found out her true nature, I basically stopped talking to her unless it was just small talk that she started up first. The best thing to do after confronting a pathological liar is to just drop the friendship since they'll never stop lying.

oh yeah. when i found out he lied to me i stopped talking to him. then months later he contacts me pretending it never happened.
it's so strange.

what i also don't get is that i stop talking to people FOR A REASON yet months later they message me or something, again like nothing happened. Most of the time I piss them off so they don't talk to me again! [i know, bad] yet they still talk. It's annoying
