Sad, eh? I got into fantasy after watching LOTR, which happened only this year (
 ) so I read the trilogy. I can't believe how extensive the history of Middle-Earth is. And the title is completely true. :xAre you into fantasy? What sort of fantasy? Magic? Sci-fi? Vampires? |

The language mainly, and the sheer amount of characters. There's no real sense of drama as there is in The Lord of the Rings - it's a retelling of events long past and it's rather...dull. I do English at university and this book was a real effort to read; I'd probably not chose to again!
