a cold that's lasting for more than a week??, the hell and i'm only 15 i'm supposed to be strong Options

yea my cold's been lasting for more than aweek. i mean there have been some days where i only about 6-7 hours of sleep during the time i've been having a cold but mostly i get about 9-11 hours of sleep. but i havne't been taking my medicine on schedule. the first three days when i first got the cold i just took this effervescent table that had alot of vitamin c and b vitamins together. then after those days i took dayquil during the day(two tablets)and at night nyquil(again two tablets. then the coupld of days after sometimes i wouldnt drink day quil and i would just drink wal-phed (which is a walgreens nasal decongestant) and at night i would nyquil. is this why my cold isn't stopping(my sore throat is almost gone and i have no cough it's just my stuffy nose that's not going away!)? cuz i don't take my medincine at a right and continuous schedule? but i thought our immune system is what kills the cold bacteria and the medicin is just something that suppreses the symtoms. and i'm not going to go to a doctor here in vietnam cuz all they'll do is prescribe me unknown medicine that doesn't even have a pamphlet describing side effects and ingredients.

That makes me think that it's almost gone. I know that whenever I get a cold my nose stays stuffy the longest, even when my other symptoms have gone away. I don't really use anything, though, when I have a cold. Usually just something to help me sleep. If you aren't coughing up plegm and your other symptoms are gone... maybe wait it out a few more days before you start to worry too much.
