So I read this quote today that said...
"You don't just stop loving someone. It's either you love them less or you've never loved them at all." Do you think that it's true? Is it possible to just stop loving someone completely? The whole concept of "stop loving someone you've loved" seems pretty interesting to me. Don't know why. Sorry if you think this topic belongs somewhere else. |

It depends on what kind of love. If all love stops why do people die of broken hearts?
If love stops why do people stay married for 50+ years? Sometimes when people have a spouse that dies young, they never marry again. If they never stop loving that person, it wouldn't matter. It depends SO much on the relationship. I think that if two people nurture a relationship, take care of each other, and are actually in love that love can last a lifetime or longer. When my dad died I was very sad, and asked my mom a question although I don't remember it now she told me that when you are really really love someone you never stop loving them, that not even death could stop her from loving my dad or stop my dad from loving her or my sisters and I. I don't believe in heaven or anything like that, but I know that she will never stop loving or missing my dad and I like to believe that he will never stop loving her or me as well. |
