I dunno if you guys have run into this new fresh style of design that's been appearing in websites lately (badges, glossy icons, gradients, large text, rounded corners, etc) but if not, here are some really informative articles on this latest trend:

it looks nice, but i guess its something that works best for business/company websites cuz its pretty much what you expect and i guess the whole glossy looks takes away the 'this *hit is boring to look at' feeling.
