If you are or were ever ashamed of saying that you are a virgin?
Is it different for guys to admit that they are or the other way around?  I am a virgin and my boyfriend isn't and is alright with it. |

I'm proud to be one. So many people lose theirs to people who just come and go in their life. I'm waiting until marriage, it's the best gift you can give to your new spouse.

when i was, i wasn't. i didn't really care, though. i used to be all OOH ABSTINECE except it was pretty much.. a bunch of spoon-fed shit from sunday school. i didn't really believe it; it was just what i was taught to repeat.
now, it's just a don't ask don't tell. i'm not gonna lie to someone, but if he or she has an issue with me not being a virgin, he/she can shove it up his/her ass.  i think the whole "it's the best thing you can give to your husband/wife" thing is... just dumb, really. "hey, it's my first time, congrats you just took my virginity!" is bizarre to me. to me, the best thing you can give your partner is, "i love you more than anything, anyone, everything, and everyone in the world... combined." - maybe losing your virginity to someone earlier was a mistake, but we're human. mistakes happen, and you can get over them and make up for them. nothing complicated. |
