It's not for everyone. I know people that have gotten good jobs with good pay (sometimes better pay than me)without a college degree. Their options aren't as broad as they would be with a college degree though. College is starting to be like a HS diploma--necessary--and Grad school is now "optional" but people make you feel you need to go. In the end it's who you know not what you know. I will say college is MUCH easier than high school.

Pretty much everyone else in the world would beg to differ (except maybe college freshman who have less work than they did in the IB program or something). I think it's entirely necessary if you want to be able to do anything with your life (and don't just happen to have some other useful talent), but I don't think it's as much for me as I thought. College life is fun, but I'm sick of taking classes that I really couldn't care less about. |
