Ok so I just read a few posts in mod perf concerning mods not being able to answer questions about the tracker.
I understand that Jusun is the one that made the thing, and only he would know how to answer certain questions because no one else on staff is... educated enough about the subject... but dont you guys think that come time the next hiring round, you could try and find people that have a better working knowledge of the IT aspect of the site, as well as how to use the forum application expertly? (proactively, because i understand that your perfect mod squad may or may not apply for modship) i mean even if they dont have a lot of posts, maybe you can give the person a "special" status for only IT related issues? |

Well, I was trying to tell Dani to discuss things with Josh, but we all know how that went.

What's that? o_0 I mean, I know an A+ is a good grade, but is it more than that? about what you're referring to? No, it's a test. Comptia A+ exam is a test that gets you the A+ certification. Think of it like the SAT for computer knowledge. It covers the basics that every PC Repair guy or gal (in this case) should know. It's almost like a test that sets a standard for the PC Repair field. If you had the choice between hiring a person who has their A+ or a person who says they know a lot about computers, you would hire the person who has their A+ because you wouldn't have to take their word for it. |

Oh, I see. Well Dani mentioned that she would probably not be able to cover all the questions to people's content, and it seemed you would. So I just wanted to suggest that you two partner up (along with others and Jusun... if it could happen) and discuss the frequently asked q's, the more technical questions, etc. and possibly make a temporary FAQ. shrug* |

Also, I would have to spend time with the people who are having issues. I don't know what issues are frequently asked. |
