Okay, so I'm really into fashion but I find it easier dressing other people than dressing myself! I need a few questions answered, if possible.

How do you pair a belt with a dress or oversized shirt? I always have problems with it... I don't know where to put the belt and I don't know what kind of shirt it would look good with without the material bunching.
- Belts should be proportional to your body size. If you're larger, you shouldn't use super skinny belts. In my opinion, the material should be flowing or at least voluminous, but it can work for lots of types. What do you think of ankle straps on shoes for short legs? I think they make my legs look stubby. - Ankle straps might make your legs look shorter, but if you have the shoes anyway, try wearing them with black tights. It might counterbalance the look, not sure. What type of dress do you suggest for a short person (I'm 5'2). I think ones that hit just about my knee look best. - Knee length or even a little above is good, just make sure your overall look doesn't make you look super young, which can be tricky with a babydoll dress or something. |
