So today, I went shopping pretty much for like 4-5 hours. Newpark Mall, and Great Mall, for all the bay area people. Anyways, today I hit a record. Seven people asked me "can i try the fitting room" , "do you have a size 29 in this" "excuse me can you ring this for me" "hi do you work here" etc. This was all from different stores. Pacsun, Zuminez, Hollister, Abercrombie, Guess, and Hot Topic. This always happen to me, whenever I go shopping. But today was a record setting 7 people. It's usually only a 1-2 people. So I ask you, have you guys ever have a similar experience like this? And do you think it's annoying, or flattering? Or just plain out weird!!

It's annoyingly flattering. :D
I get asked similar things when I go out shopping; which is weird because I already work in a store I Duty Manager for. I think people see a confidence in you and will presume that it comes from being familiar with retail. Whether or not it is your store they ask you for help in. XD I'd take it as a compliment. |
