Abbreviations, Who thinks it is becoming it's own languge?

laugh.gif Almost seems like we are going back in time and expressing our selves with abbreviations rather then actual words. It's quite sad how a LOL or a ROFL or LMFAO or a STFU can be translated into it's own sort of high tech cave man language. Who else sees this as an issue? blink.gif The abbreviations I hear now a days... I can barley understand some such as TTYL (talk to you later) and DTIAHFY (Don't Trip I Am Here For You) it's really becoming rather annoying. laugh.gif

Who else thinks were are going down a downwards spiral in today's language by using this?

I don't think it's a problem. I think it's kinda funny really. It's not like we have ever spoken real english here either. If people start using lol or wtf more often, who cares, we will still understand them... It's like our generations slang although correct pronunciations of words do make people sound smarter. *giggles at silly children making themselves sound stupid*
