Tonight, my parents were so sweet. Took my brother, sister, and I out to dinner to eat. But the three of us kiddos didn't like where they were going, so we split up for dinner for a little bit, then went grocery shopping together. ^_^
But the thing I most grateful for about my parents is my mom always reading to me when we were poor and lived in the ghetto. I remember she read to me even when I was incapable of reading... My first book was "Left Foot, Right Foot" by Dr. Seuss. I have ALWAYS been a huge reader since then, and I've almost always been the top of my English classes. My writing is much better than the level of most kids my age (thankfully) mostly because I was read to by my mom consistently every day. So, what have your parents done for you back in the day when you were a wee lad that has effected you even to today? |

My morals, values, respect for myself and others. I'm not sure if that begins to cover it. She's always been there for me, from the little things like dealing with my learning disability to making major choices in my life. My mom and I are really close, and I'm thankful for that because it's kept me out of a lot of trouble.
She also covered for me when I got my truency tickets and my speeding ticket the other week. :) |
