so does anyone know exactly what you're suppose to write about when it comes to this application essay thing?? im not the best writer in the world . and what did you write yours about?

Well, if you're doing Common application, it's a short response plus two long answers (I think). They ask a bunch of stories about what you care about and what's important to you.

If it's the college's own personal essays, than it varies.

Basically, just talk about things that are important to you that will make you stand out and convey passion. Colleges like to know that you have something that you are devoted to. Your English teachers should offer to proof your essays. If they don't, always always have someone read it over. A second pair of eyes is great.

Don't run on too long with too many details or be redundant. Application reviewers only spend like 10 minutes on your application. They spend a very short period of time on a long piece of information.

Try to stand out with your writing by having a hook etc. This will draw the attention and make the application reviewer spend more time on your essay.
