I work this stupid ******* babysitting job for 11 ******* hours a day and I ******* hate it.
It's a mother's helper job and I'm helping a lady recover after giving birth while taking care of her 2 year old daughter and her newborn occasionally. So basically all day long I sit in this chair and do my home school, which is over HOURS before work is over so I'm left there sitting just doodling on a notepad for hours and sometimes getting up to change a diaper or whatever. that's all she wants me to do. THE DAY GOES BY SO SLOW!!!! I can't stand it, it's only my 2nd day and I have almost 2 weeks left!! What can I do to make the time go by faster?! Don't tell me to read, write or listen to music, I want some creative ideas for one person to do all day in a stupid ******* chair. thank you very much. (: |

i love babysitting and working with young children. i find the day goes by faster when you plan ahead. make a schedule of what you and the 2 year old can do. a lot of two year olds like those interactive shows like Dora the Explorer, Go Diego Go, etc. The Backyardigans have great music. watch a show like that and do a little lesson and/or color sheet that goes with it. choose a letter, color, and an object and make the day about those things. make sure you plan for naptime, washing hands, diaper changing, lunch & snack time. there's an opportunity to teach the toddler something while doing all or most of those things. good luck.
