what kind of things do i need to mess with to get these nice,crisp,edgy,photgraphy picture effects?

You do sharpening first to give it a crisp look. Though I say don'tttt oversharpen ! xD
And well, I work with PS, and I know exactly how to get those. You basically play with Photo Filters, curves, contrast/brightness. And even add a gardient map if you like. If you really do it right, the colouring of a picture can enhance the picture BEAUTIFULLY just like that. |
