i'm a freshman in high school, and the guy i like is a junior. he's really nice to me and every time i see him, he gives me really long hugs. Also, he gives me his jacket a lot. well, last night, i found out from my friend [whose also his friend] that theres apparently rumors we're going out. he hasn't officially asked me to go out, so i was just wondering if there's a point where two people become a couple without actually saying the words "will you go out with me?"

You know what happens when you assume.
The best thing is to talk about it with the guy. That way, you both know where you stand. Casually bring it up in a conversation, like, "Hey, I've been hearing rumors that we're going out. Weird..." |
