don't forget the fact that... well... basically it's "trendy" for women to be bisexual.
It gets them more attention from guys. Face it, if two girls are holding hands, or kissing, the guys around will be paying attention to that. Not to girlfriends or cute outfits.

Not to mention if you're old enough to go to a club, and see two drunk chicks on the dance floor making out, that's gonna appeal to a guy more than your $200 outfit that shows your cleavage.

Because more and more women are coming out as bisexual, it's becoming more and more of a social standard. It's quickly become a bonding agent between two teens.
If you're a girl and mention "I'm bi" to 4 different girls, guaranteed at least one of them will say "OMG ME TOO!!!". Where as in todays age, it's becoming just as casual and recurring as say... Passion Pink nail polish.

Guys can't be as open about it. In a world of sexuality that's overrun with the appeal towards the general male population, and the egos that men carry... you rarely see men give more than a hand grip and semi-hug. In fact, the only time you'll see men publicly display any man-on-man action is at functions where you're "allowed" to show emotion.
Weddings, Funerals, Births.

Some will argue they don't want to see any acts of gay-ness. But even the most dignified of Christian men will think about, or at least not WANT to turn away from two beautiful women locking lips together.

It's not just girls are closer to being bisexual than guys, it's more that girls are more accepted as bisexual than guys.

Nuh uh. Drunk people don't appeal to me at all. I know they do to some guys because they can be taken advantage of, but when girls get drunk at clubs all the time, it's kind of a turn off.

But who goes around saying "I'm bi" to people they don't know?

It's not because of social norms, it's because a lot of guys just don't like to show emotion. Even when I'm at my happiest, I don't like to do anything more than shake hands. This includes at weddings etc.

Not if they're drunk...
