So this is my first blend. After looking at the array of talent in the Showcase Booth I thought I'd try my luck at something.
If anyone thinks it's any good I'll submit it   THUMBED, CLICK FOR FULL VIEW^ Opinions please?

Like others have said, it doesn't look bad, and that's the first big step - if you can do that, the hardest part is over with. Now all you need to do is tweak out the imperfections and add some enhancements (as mentioned, textures, patterns, etc).
With a blend, I know it's something you overlooked (I'm referring to the top line on the middle picture), but try to get rid of any lines so the entire image is seamless. It's good that you didn't overdo feathering - a LOT of people tend to do that when they're starting out, and then it just looks like these big clouds surrounding the pictures (not attractive at all). Keep working at it, it looks good so far. One more thing, I'm not sure about the text.. it just looks out of place. Maybe take out one copy and keep the one that's half-transparent, only move it down to the other position? |
