Ok here's the basic. I'm not sure if all these options are on GIMP...just look around/google the options.
Make a new image, with a WHITE background. Then, add a new layer, and make sure you fill it with BLACK. This is critical to see your lines/text. Next, make ANOTHER layer. Draw your lines or whatever you want on the bottom layer, like the lines in the picture. Now, once again, make another layer, and type your text. Once you have the lines or whatever and text how you want it to look, delete the black layer. Here's the tricky part...I'm not sure how to do this on GIMP. On Photoshop, you can right click the layer, click blending options, then check Stroke. You can then find the little color box, and on top of that is a Drop-Down menu, where you can choose Gradient, Color, or Pattern. You can change the width and which gradient. Once again, I don't know if these options are available on GIMP. I'll google and edit if I find anything. [[edit]] Alright...it should be something the same as photoshop. Either right click the picture or the layer. |
