A/W 2007, what's in? Options

It's getting close to September, which means we have to start getting out our fall/winter clothing. So what's in for you this fall/winter? With the A/W 2007 season over by...May? These are the styles that are going to be in.

1) Cocooning, or Cocoon-shaped Fashion


so the loose shapes and tunics are still in! :D

2) Lingerie, or the Exposed Bra


bring out your bustiers and corsets!

3) The Bold Shoulder


please no shoulder pads!

4) Diamonds!, actually, Quilting


kinda old lady? i'm not too sure.

5) Ombré, the shading


some of it's quite nice, but it reminds me of tiedye.

6) Plaid


loves it! except for the chanel boots.

7) Moiré, the pattern



8) Fur


but of course, what kind of collection is an A/W collection if it doesn't have fur??


so what do you all think about the what's in on runway compared to what's in your A/W wardrobe?

Is it just me, or does that Jean Paul Gaultier look the same as before...? Do they use the same fabric everytime?

Anyways, I usually look at it more as certain pieces that I want, not really details like fur or quilting. The strong shoulder puts me off a bit, but as long as it's not 80's power suit like or anything, I think it could be acceptable.

I really need a trench, and a prepschool blazer (like the $20,000 Balenciaga ones )


I'm looking for more dresses that are casual but can be dressed up and layered with tights. This is from 3.1 Phillip Lim:

It's so impossible to find heeled oxford booties here.

Overall, I love the whole "popsicle" look, as Vogue described it- baggy, volumous top with skinny legs, like at Stella McCartney.

What were some of your favorite collections this season? Mine were definitely Balenciaga, Nina Ricci, and Stella McCartney.
The ones that disappointed me were Zac Posen, Burberry Prorsum, and Alexander McQueen (just scary).
