I only recently found out that Sprint/Nextel puts a tax on 911 calls. I don't know if that's common knowledge, but what's the most ridiculous payment a phone company has charged you with and why?
Sprint charged my family around $1K because they renewed our contract without telling us and then repeatedly assured us that our contracts have expired at that time. Then, when we switched to Verizon, they charged us for early cancellation. |

Only those collect calls from jail.
I wish that were a joke. Seriously, though, if they charged for 911 calls I'd probably end up in jail because I'd take care of the robber rather than call the cops. |
