employer google you before they give you an interview. They saw your drunken picture on facebook and your faul language on myspace or your arguement on the forum over little stuff or saw your sn on a porn site etc. After seeing all your info online they decided no to call you up for an interview? They can personally google it themself or they can ask a professional searcher to do it for them. What do you think about this issue? do you think this is what happening when you apply and no one respond?
-i saw this on Austin show mike and juliet. I should becareful. Because i heard a story that a student didn't get accepted to graduate school because he said bad thing about the professor on facebook. |

I don't like the idea of colleges doing it so much, if they're going to deny you for cussing or something. I can understand rejection if people are stupid enough to put up pictures of themselves high, drunk, talk about being drunk etc.
I think it's smart for employers to do that. I recently did it for my boss, about a week ago, before interviewing a bunch of possible employees. Myspace eliminated about half the choices. The ones who were smart enough to keep their profiles private and keep their personal life, well, personal, still got the interviews. |
