it really frustrates me to see a lot of young girls, or even guy, being sexually active, or having sex,
but not knowing anything about what theyre doing. for instance, i have a friend who had sex her first time, didnt use a condom and took the morning after pill because she was paranoid, had sex the next day and no condom she freaked out and took a pregnancy test about a week later, and then another and asked me if she could go to the doctor and if they could stick their finger up her vagina and see if she was pregnant or not? she also asked me if you could get pregnant from dry humping.... i mean, are you kidding? i relaly do wish people just learned about what they were doing before they started doing it. what are your opinions on this? im sorry this is really confusing topic ot me and i really am unsure how to word it i just feel like people not being knowledgeable is what causes teen pregnancies, abortions, stds, and "accidents" |

The education system may need to start putting sex ed. classes in lower grades soon. My first sex-ed class was in the 4th grade, and while I'm sure that scared off a few people, at that age the class was focused mostly on puberty and not sex.basically they try to scare you out of havign sex, It's just that a ton of people find it hypocritical to say "Don't have sex. And if you are, then use a condom." I think that's a prefectly fine thing to teach, and that's how it's taught where I live, but there has been backlash, and as far as I can tell, most schools won't teach that theory and, like you said, just scare people.instead of teachign you about it. And as far as people not doing their research - totally true. They really, really should do their research. However, I do have to say that I'd give the girls asking the obvious-to-us questions a liiiiitle (really, just a little, thought) credit, because I know I have a little bit of a history to be a ditz and when you're scared and unsure, especially about something as serious as sex (assuming the girls asking know it's a serious issue), you can't exactly think straight. |
