I don't have a problem with Kanye sampling Daft Punk; as a matter of a fact, he gave me a reason to listen to Daft Punk's Discovery (the album that has "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger"). Kanye's introducing his fans to artists they otherwise would not have listened to.

I agree, a lot of times If an artist samples I become interested in the original version also. For instance Joe Budden's rap over Metaliica's Unforgiven inspired me to listen to the original. To my surprise I actually liked the original. So sampling isn't necessarily a bad thing. As you said, it gives Ye fans a chance to expose them to other types of music.
