hey i was writing a short zombie fic and i needed help with a transition. when the dead start rising i wanted it to be announced on the radio but the main character doesnt listen and changes the channel. so really i want him to be flipping through channels and hearing the beggining of each one but have it be cut of but i dont know how to flip through channels without it being akward. can someone help?

I would usually make it start off with dialogue. Something along the lines of:
"And the yankees bring it home again! This is the-- "Police have arrested Joesph Lee for his-- "The president has announce their promo-- (Main character name here) sighed. Clicking his finger against the button of the remote, he scurried to find something interesting, but alas it did not come.  |
