ruching was really big a while ago; i don't remember exactly how many months ago though.
apparently it accentuates curves, but i still don't like it... unless it's on matte fabric - and then a lot of the time it still looks tacky. however, it's usually on shimmery satin dresses... and i just think it looks so distracting the way the light glances off it when you're trying to draw attention to yourself (that sounds really bad! haha) and not your clothes. opinions? |

Ruching is sometimes used to shape the bust so it fits better. Ruching is okay if it's done well and understated. I really don't like a bunch of ruching at waist of the dress. |
