So my boyfriend left for a retreat yesterday, he'll be back on friday but i have
[HORRIBLE and TERRIBLE]
separation axiety, depression.. THE WORKS!

its been a month straight that ive hung out with him all day everyday.

im so sad.

The question at hand is:

How do YOU feel when your significant other has to go away for "X" amount of time, and how do you cope?

Stop being so selfish and get over it. 3 times a day 10 minutes each is PLENTY. You and your boyfriend should both have your own lives.

I've been with my boyfriend for two years and the entire last year he was away for school. I saw him at winter break and at reading break. It was hard, yes and it will be this coming year but you need to learn to live your own life anyway. That's the only way your relationship can be healthy.

Maybe it's just how I am as an individual, but as much as I miss my boyfriend, I enjoy it when he goes away for little retreats and things. Having extra time to spend with my friends, by myself... I feel it energizes myself and makes me even more happy to see him when he does return.
