^ Man those are lame tips. Here are some real ones:
1. AP World History will kill you. Other AP's aren't that bad I guess... 2. Study groups include more gossiping than studying but at least they are still fun. 3. Cheat as much as you can (not on tests, hw and labs aren't as bad though), it will help your grade. 4. Suck up a lot. 5. Sit next to someone smart in class. 6. Check what your AP exam dates are so in case you have two exams next to each other...you can evenly space out your studying time. Don't learn the hard way. It sucks. 7. Bring a box of tissues to exam day if you have allergies. 8. Bring a box of tissues anyway in case the annoying person next to you has allergies. 9. Go to Costco and buy those huge capuccino powder things so you can make instant caps whenever instead of running to Starbucks all the time. 10. If you are taking AP Bio, the answeres to the worldwide labs that you need to complete are online. Ahahahahaha :) 11. If the person next to you on exam day falls asleep, don't wake them up unless you know that they are dumber than you...you might screw up the grading curve. Personal experience for all ftw. |

10. If you are taking AP Bio, the answeres to the worldwide labs that you need to complete are online. Ahahahahaha :) Ahh. Thanks! I am taking AP bio in the upcoming school year. For AP Euro (since it's the only AP test I have taken so far): 1. When your teacher asks you to read the textbook, READ IT. 2. Be ready for participation in class (yeah, it's hard but essential to survival in the classes that are heavily based on participation, but that's how READING THE TEXTBOOK will help you BS better). Usually English and history classes require participation...so it is important. 3. DON'T CRAMP THE NIGHT BEFORE THE AP TEST. But give yourself about 3 weeks to cramp. Haha. 4. Bring several #2 pencils, blue/black pens, and an eraser. The proctors at my school will kill us if we don't have our supplies. 5. Don't ever rewrite the prompt for your thesis statement. You should paraphrase the prompt and incorporate what you are going to write on your 3 body paragraphs. 6. Don't ever start a FRQ/DBQ essay with a rhetorical question. 7. If your teacher assigns you homework, DO IT because AP history classes assign almost no homework. 8. Learn to pace yourself in essays by practice. You have 70 minutes (including 15-minute mandatory reading period for DBQ) to write three essays. 9. Princeton Review and CliffNotes are both good supplementary test prep books. Do not solely depend on those books though if you want a higer score. 10. For unit tests at school, make sure you read and be able to analyze the information in your essays. Those are from personal experience, so some may not apply to your school/teachers' system. |
