So there's this radio station in the Houston area, 93.7 the arrow (a rock station) that does this thing called a Birthday Scam. People get calls from the radio station and the radio station talks to them about something and basically tells them a lot of things need to change and that they owe fees and their house is gonna be repo'd etc etc. In order to find out an issue that the person's been dealing with, someone close has to submit the idea for the scam lol.
On their birthday they call the person up and give them a hard time (and these guys are really good at making things up on the spot) about whatever issue was submitted. Would you do it? Would you be pissed if someone did it to you? Oh yeah people usually end up laughing at the end of it. |

my radio station used to do a thing called war of the roses. every wednesday, they would take someone who emailed them and bring them on the show. that person had suspected their significant other of cheating and that was the whole point of the gig. the lady on the show would call their significant other and pose a flower shop owner and explain they were new in town, and as an opening thing, they would send a dozen roses to anyone they chose. the point of it was to see who they would send it to and if it would be there significant other.
