FIINNNIIIISSSSSHHHHHHEEEEEEEDDDDDDDD!
So totally LOVED it. I went to the midnight party and was within the first ten people to get the book SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. It took a HELLUVA lot longer to finish than I thought, and much of the book I read allowed to make sure I didn't skip over parts. I was, though, really really really saddened by all of the deaths. The death of Hedwig was a big blow, but even bigger was Dobby. Full-out sobbing at that point right there. Same goes with torturing of Hermoine. That was HUGE for me, as was the Ron screaming to help her. Still amazing glad that the three of them stuck it out - albeit Ron left for a little, but he came back! And of course, when he did it was magnificent. MAJOR kudos to Rowling from bringing EVERYONE back for the seventh book, I totally imagined the seventh movie and we just being utterly amazed - I love reunions like that. So I was wrong about Snape! And normally, I'd be dissatisfied when it doesn't go the way I thought it would :x but that was really good. I'd always known that he loved Lily - but I adored that entire Snape chapter. Really, really did. ALL HAIL THE GOOD SHIP. I screamed SCREAMED SCREAMED SCREAMED SCREAMED cries of joy when Ron and Hermoine kissed. And did a BIG victory dance. YAYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Expected more from the epilogue, though. ): Wonderful story of Dumbledore's past. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HARRY POTTTERRRRR!!!!! |

Did we ever get a proper explanation of how Harry's wand was able to perform its own spell (the one with golden flames) during his first encounter with Voldemort? Ollivander didn't know and I don't remember if Dumbledore explained it. I'm not sure if it was a proper explanation, but it was an educated guess by Dumbledore... and he is THE man. :P It was in the King's Cross chapter. I would suggest re-reading that chapter about 4 times you guys... very, very slowly. Oh, and Michelle, is that poem like, in the dedication or something? Because in that case, the one in the British version was different... I really liked the dedication, as a side note... it was sweet. No, it wasn't. It was simply a poem another HP fan remembered from a funeral he went to and thought it may have some connection to the last words of the book. ^_^ ----- Oh, and JKR has said that she might write an encyclopedia about the whole magical world that should answer a ton of questions. :D :D |

Oh, and JKR has said that she might write an encyclopedia about the whole magical world that should answer a ton of questions. :D :D That would be so exciting. And yes, this is definitely a re-readable book to slowly catch all the things missed the first time through. I re-read the last 100-200 pages again already. ![]() |
