http://www.createblog.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=178441 basically there are two options: we can have it the way it is now, where submitters are able to remove comments from their submissions or i can revoke their ability so that only staff can. pros -one less thing to "report" to the staff members for inappropriate content (ie bashing). cons -legitimate posts may be deleted because the submitters cant take criticisms -its harder to point out its a "jocked" layout - since the submitter can remove the comment. |

I understand the concern regarding jocked layouts and how a submitter could delete the comment that called them out, but that's definitely not an issue with official designers.

Thing is though .... it doesn't matter because so far any layout that has been reported has not been found through comments. Plus if we find it through comments the designer needs to PM us about it. If they can't take responsibility and take the mature route by PMing us then its staying anyway. So it doesn't matter if the comments gone. *shrugs* |
