Best genre in anime? Options

I would have to say that I like a lot of Genre. I just hate Romance and stuff that deals with blood; generally action/horror. Romance is basiclly always the same thing. The guy/girl always gets some hot dood at the end. So it's kinda boring to me. Horror/action, Blood is an extremly hard thing to draw and animate. And bad art kinda annoys me...
So what kind of Genre do you guys love and hate?

... Um, most, if not all, the shoujo that I read is romance-based. Let's not get into Parfait Tic. Actually, I could relate Romance to Josei as well.


My favorite is definitely shoujo, but I'm still really picky about which ones I would read. Nana, HYD, Honey and Clover, etc. are definitely my favorites. They're also romance-based as well. In addition, Nana is josei, no matter what people say.


My least favorite is both Action and Horror. Some action is alright, but mass amounts are not my thing. Although I do like Gundam Wing, at times i got pretty bored. Horrors... Well I havent come across any animes of that genre, but some mangas are just.... Ew.. =X

EDIT - Oh, and I wish you wouldn't group Ecchi with Yaoi and Yuri. I feel like because they're grouped together, pollers may the feeling that they're all linked, but they're not. Yaoi and Yuri may be unorthodox due to its sexual orientation, but Ecchi is more based on (mild to intense) sexual references and such.
