I have this friend, G. I've known of him since 8th grade, and in 9th grade, we were in the same French class together. I never really started talking to him until the second semester of last year, but our friendship got close really quickly.

We exchanged our numbers because of a school thing. It was a casual exchange, so there was no other motives behind it. But then, that weekend, he called me and we started talking for like 30 minutes. He went on a weekend trip and called me from there to ask if I wanted any souvenirs. This offer wasn't made only for me, but for our other mutual friends, too. But our first phone conversation was the longest I've ever had with a guy in a long time. And there was no awkward moments at all.

On the last day of school, nobody was really required to come, but I came anyway to be with my friends. When he wasn't there, I called him and we talked for almost all throughout the class. He talks to me in the way that I think only close friends talk to each other.

Last week, I got into a fender bender - not me driving - and I called him almost immediately. I ranted to him for a long time, and he just listened and offered his opinions. He also got my mind off of things by talking about other things. The next day he called and left a voicemail making sure that I was still all right.

He has said that he's liked the same girl for a couple of years now. The girl, O, knows about it but she has said to me that she really doesn't like him. So everybody kind of knows he's wasting his time, but he's still kind of oblivious and hopeful.

Now, I don't know if he likes me as more than a friend or if he thinks of me as his really good friend. I usually am able to detect this sort of thing, but this time...I honestly don't know.
This post is lengthy, I know. But help would be appreciated. thumbsup.gif

^ Exactly.
I mean, he could be doing the same thing to his other friends.
Maybe I'm just interpreting it wrong.
