I'm not so sure but can a person who is hosted for free by another person and is on a subdomain of the host... Can that person who has the subdomain, provide hosting to others??

You don't need a reseller to host people though. They get all the separate features they would if you had a normal account. The only thing they don't get is cPanel and as I said before you do not need cPanel to own a site. Everything that needs to be done can be done by you, the host, or by them via FTP.
- Upload pages to the site (they can do with the FTP account you make them) - Email account (if you have email accounts, you can make them one. Then they won't need you again) - Look at their site (they just need to go to the url) - Use the database (after its made by you.. they don't need cpanel anymore) etc etc etc So its up to you on what you want to do but you don't need to give them cPanel. Also if your host doesn't have a reseller (which I think she does since you have cpanel) you won't be able to give them cpanel anyway. Now that I think about it the only way you can get a reseller is if you buy a hosting package. If you only plan on hosting subdomains its pointless and a waste of money. File manager stuff ... don't even worry about that. Unless you plan on hosting the world it shouldn't matter. Plus the subdomains should have a folder not spread out all over the place :] |
