OK, I'm stuck in a pretty bad dilema here. I'm 17 years old, and I just went into college last fall. I have about 3 close friends that I keep in touch with, but I still feel like I'm missing a whole lot of socialism and interaction in my life.

I've tried joining the clubs at my college, but they all think I'll be to 'immature' to keep up with their conversations, or that I don't have 'enough' interest in the club to 'bother returning for subsequent meetings.'

I just want to get to know some people around town that I can talk to and have fun with. It's tricky to do in the town that has the number one (violent) crime rating in America. Any suggestions?

@ ojairus:
Nice suggestion, but sports really aren't my thing. I'm... well... physically challenged? wink.gif Other than that, networking friends sounds like a good plan.

@ LonelyObsession:
I want to move, but I have to get my AA Degree from my college before I an do that. It's a complicated thing.

I've never crashed a party before, matter of fact, I've never even been to a party other than for my friend's birthdays. blush.gif

As for being loud... I'm not really good at doing that, unless you count straight up yelling... but that wouldn't be a good idea.

Thanks for all your help, I think I just need to get out more though. dance.gif Here's hoping I find a party. aniwink.gif
