OK, I'm stuck in a pretty bad dilema here. I'm 17 years old, and I just went into college last fall. I have about 3 close friends that I keep in touch with, but I still feel like I'm missing a whole lot of socialism and interaction in my life.
I've tried joining the clubs at my college, but they all think I'll be to 'immature' to keep up with their conversations, or that I don't have 'enough' interest in the club to 'bother returning for subsequent meetings.' I just want to get to know some people around town that I can talk to and have fun with. It's tricky to do in the town that has the number one (violent) crime rating in America. Any suggestions? |

At least you don't live in the town with the meanest people!
![]() Lol, and it's socialization, not socialism. |

Lol, and it's socialization, not socialism. First of all, thanks for the correction. I hadn't slept in over 39 hours when I wrote this, so I was pretty out of it. ![]() It's really hard to find parties here, I have no one to tell me when or where any kind of event will be held. If you have any way to find out where some parties are, I'd gladly look into it. I still live with my mom in this crappy apartament complex, and it's only a community college, so the whole dorm thing is kinda thrown out the window there. I dunno where to go from here. Maybe I should turn in that application for Subway I've been holding off for a few... weeks. ![]() |
