I still like him but.... Options

Ok, well, I still like my ex-boyfriend.
Yeah, um, I think it's kind of sad.
He was my first boyfriend.
It didn't really work out (well, then again, most middle school relationships don't.)
He already has a new girlfriend, and they both really love each other. The love he never gave to me.
I really want to stop loving him, but I can't.
I've told him straight forward that I liked him on the last day of school.
Since then, he's never emailed me back.
Advice please.
Should I get him back,
should I try and stop loving him,
or should I do something else?
I really have no idea.

This has Happend to me. except the relationship lasted for 1 year and 2 months going into 9th. then around november of my freshman year we broke up. i still felt something for him a month later and then he found a gf i think less than a week after we broke up. but i mean they are guys.. yea u'll feel a little torn up but when you guys move on to highschool its a whole new pool that you can swim in. with fresh chlorine.. (corny, im a swimmer) so yea i mean let the feelings pass little by little if they have to. i can assure you that no matter what any girl looks like they find atleast one guy freshman year. :)
