It's reciprocal. The problem? S/He's dying. Hodgkin's lymphoma. You want to get married, the person says no. They love you enough - that's certain - but they don't want to hurt you. Ask anyone, it hurts deeply and strongly to be a widow.

If I truely loved them, then yes, I'd marry them. Sure it'd hurt and I'd be sad when they're gone, but wouldn't I feel the same way if I hadn't married them? Only then I'd always wonder what it would have been like if I had married them and so on and so forth.
