i guess you guys win im the only one arguing =(. But alot of people do use skateboards as transportation just cuz its more portable and less expensive than a bike, which tends to get stolen. people dont use skateboards as transportation unless they know how to ride because if they dont they would be incredibly slow.
True that skateboarding on private property is illegal, but bmxers do it also.(not on same topic)and they should be punished. But signs say no skateboarding as the destroying of property not transportation, and in that video it looked like they were just skateboarding. skateboarding on privat property is just a misdamenor, why would the cop use excessive force. so if he let them go what mighta happaned. Can a cop even touch you for a city ordinace? |

If the kid got punished for just innocently skateboarding on public property, then yes, that cop was way out of line. In fact, I do believe he got more rough than necessary. I wouldn't believe what I see online too often though. I question the credibility of things like that. Why? There was a famous picture of a soldier executing a what seemed like an unarmed man. The soldier was condemned by many, including allies of that army. What we didn't know was that "unarmed" man is a cold-blooded killer, whose plots cost the lives of many civilians and bystanders.... The photographer had to apologize to the soldier for what he did many years later when he finally understood the consequences of it. The point being... a picture don't always speak a thousand words. In this case that video could be a joke (like that crazy bride who cut off her own hair video) or it could be that the kid stole something or committed a crime and got caught. Or, it could be that the cop was in the wrong. We don't know for sure. However, because it cannot be validated, I don't see why we have to base our arguments on it. See, why would the cop need to handcuff the them if they didn't commit a crime (the others being accessory to a crime)? You do know that cops could get in trouble if they cuff without reason, right? ---- Edit... oh, haha, you all need to read the commments on the Video. |
