Has anyone watched it yet? I watched it a few weeks ago, and have to say that Michael Moore has possibly made me question the Health Care industry sadly. Although I hate Michael Moore with a passion, this movie is worth a seeing. If you have seen, what do you think, and what are your changed and or unchanged views on the health care system?

And with their system, you have more security and a smaller rich-poor divide. And why exactly are there less specialists? Have statistics for that? Smaller rich poor divide my ass. Handouts do not make people less poor, it only makes them dependent. Security my ass. There are fewer specialists because there is less incentive to go study the extra years to become one. "Japan, for example, spends only about half as much of its GDP on health care as the United States. But the comparatively low salaries doctors receive have caused a serious shortage of cancer specialists in a country where cancer rates are rising and the disease is the leading cause of death"[1] Really, I would love to see your backup on this. Btw,for those who want to see it. See above, and good job helping to pirate a video. Cuba's system is a piece of shit. Why do you think Castro sent for a Spanish doctor? If Cuba's system is so great, why wouldn't he trust his own country's doctors? Moore even mentions the US rank in worldwide healthcare, but he curiously omits Cuba's rank, which is LOWER than the United States'. And lol @ taking medical advice from an obese man. That's like getting relationship advice from Doctor Phil. QED motherf**kers. gb2dakitchen bitches. |

I don't know, by what I saw, drugs there were much cheaper and people actually got treatment. If you don't have insurance in the US, you're screwed. Actually, you're screwed even with insurance. $60,000 to reattach the TIP of a middle finger? No, thanks. Btw, Michael Moore was never giving advice to people about how to stay healthy... The movie was about the healthcare system in the US. Watch it again =) |

Why didn't Castro send for a US doctor then? If you think they're so amazing. Wow. Just wow. Think about what you said for a second. PROTIP: Think embargo. As opposed to a huge chunk of your income on something you may not use in addition to lengthy waits? QUOTE Btw, Michael Moore was never giving advice to people about how to stay healthy... Wow. Just wow. Think about what you said for a second. PROTIP: Think embargo. Yeah, I know. But why Spain? And please, I'm sure if he wanted a US doctor he would have gotten a US doctor. QUOTE As opposed to a huge chunk of your income on something you may not use in addition to lengthy waits? I live in Canada and I find nothing wrong with it. It's the better way. Oh, and I've never had to wait for a doctor for more than 15 minutes here. |

Yeah, I know. But why Spain? And please, I'm sure if he wanted a US doctor he would have gotten a US doctor. He's shaking his head at you because the US and Cuba have a trade embargo, meaning that nothing from the US goes to Cuba and nothing from Cuba goes to the US. The US and Cuba don't really get along. Thus, I really don't think the US would send over a doctor to help out Castro. I'm sort of on your side in this argument, and not knowing that doesn't help our cause. |
